This 1 day class is designed for accredited and non-accredited agencies looking to strengthen their FTO’s Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) in the FTO Program based on best practices. This class will satisfy the yearly in-service requirement of both CALEA and MPAC Accreditation standards.

About the event
FTOs will learn the following:
Discuss new and existing liability issues facing FTOs and their FTO Program to include mindset of "De-escalation" and "A duty to intervene."
A refresher on teaching/coaching methods for new officers using facilitated learning techniques and the "A.L.A." and "Teaching Traiangle" teaching method developed by JETPST.
Ways to be consistent in written evaluations of new officers on DORs using formulas developed by JETPST.
